The aim was not to construct just another home trainer, but a high-end device for top professionals and science. So we started by collecting a catalogue of requirement specifications. • Fully adjustable: saddle position and handlebars can be adjusted to any position for cyclists of between 140 and 200 cm – from a racing position down to a relaxed upright position

• large flywheel masses that simulate kinetic energy and the “sensation” of cycling at high speeds realistically and which can be adjusted to the athlete’s weight to allow the maximum simulation of real conditions
• two different operational modes that can be programmed freely by the user
• online option showing planned and actual real-time data on a PC screen
• braking power: from 20 to 2,500 watts; or even up to 4,000 watts for short intervals
