PowerMeter Dekore

The very heart of the power measurement

The Powermeter consists of the crank, chainrings and measuring unit. The measuring unit is located between the crank arm and the chainrings and is made of a high-strength, specially tempered aluminium alloy: a computer-designed torque transducer industrially manufactured to highly accurate standards of quality.

Strain gauge strips are attached to the inside of the Powermeter. These deflect when force is applied to the pedals. The material deflection registers the force thus created (torque) as well as the cadence (angular velocity). These parameters are converted into a digital electrical signal which is sent via ANT+ sport wireless protocol to the PowerControl.

The power measurement is reactionless so no energy is lost. The Powermeter is temperature compensated, 100% linear and waterproof.

It has an integrated battery for taking the measurement. This has an expected product life sufficient for 30,000 km or 2000,0 hours of training. after which it can be replaced.

Cranks are available in lengths of between 165mm and 180mm in intervals of 2.5mm.

A multi-length crank is available for laboratory testing, with lengths adjustable from 150mm to 190mm in 2.5 mm intervals.
