PowerControl V to PowerControl VI

Can I use a wired PowerMeter system with a PCVI?

If you are currently using a PCV with a wired power meter you will only be able to use a PCV.  The PCVI will only work with a wireless power meter.

Some of our wireless systems have the capacity to work both wired and wireless. If you wish to use your wireless power meter with a sensor cable and PCV please contact SRM USA with you power meter serial # and we can help you further.

System compatibility

What bike frames need special PowerMeters or modifications to work with SRMs?

A: The new Trek Madone, BB30 frames require a specific Madone PowerMeter. Older Dura Ace, FSA, Cannondale, Specialized, SRM Pro and Amateur PowerMeters will not work with this frame design.

B: Some BB30 frames will require a bearing, axle or bottom bracket modification to work with an SRM system. This information can also be obtained through your bicycle manufacture.

Is the FSA PowerMeter compatible with Campagnolo 11 speed chain?

Campagnolo 11-speed compatible chainrings are only available at the moment for  FSA K-Force Light 130BCD (chainring size 53 / 39; other sizes available only on special request).

Can I use a FSA Gossamer PowerMeter with an FSA BB-8000 Ceramic bottom bracket?

If a Gossamer customer wants a ceramic BB:

1. They need to get the FSA BB-8000 Ceramic
2. Remove the gold sleeve from the FSA BB-8000.
3. Replace it with the black plastic sleeve from their BB-6000 which comes with the Gossamer.

SRM is not planning on stocking the BB-8000 but customers can order these from their bike shops.
