SRM PowerControl7 Firmware Update

February 17, 2014 SRM released a firmware update for PowerControl7. The new firmware improves the ability of the PowerControl7 to receive sensor data. We encourage all PC7 users to complete the firmware update to ensure data quality.  Please visit SRM's software page to proceed:  www.srm.de/products/software/  1. Download the SRM Software (Mac or Windows) 2. Install the new software 3. Open SRM Software and connect the PC7 4. Dubai Tour Success Powered by SRM Training System

SRM sponsored teams continue to power into 2014 with top results in the Dubai Tour. BMC Racing Team's Taylor Phinney finished 1st Overall with best young rider honors, while teammate, Steve Cummings, finished 2nd. Following Phinney's Stage 1 Time Trial victory (SRM Data Here), Team Giant-Shimano's German sprinter, Marcel Kittel, went on to win the remaining three stages. Other strong SRM-powered performances include Fabian Cancellara's opening time trial for Trek Factory Racing, Cannondale's Peter Sagan Stage 2 and 3 sprints, and Andrea Guardini (Astana) landing third in the final stage 4. SRM sends congratulations for the impressive team work and powerful performances!

Taylor Triumphs in Dubai TT

February 5th: Dubai Tour 2014 - Time Trial BMC Racing Team's Taylor Phinney won the BMC Racing Team's second race of the season on Wednesday while teammate Stephen Cummings was runner-up in the individual time trial that began the Dubai Tour. Phinney powered his BMC timemachine TMR01 to a time of 12 minutes and three seconds on the 10.1-kilometer out-and-back course. That was 14 seconds faster than Cummings and 16 seconds better than Lasse Norman Hansen (Garmin-Sharp), who was third. "I put out the power that I wanted to put out," he said. "It was really a lot of watts and very strong. I felt fine. It was really one of those courses where it was over before you know it." - Taylor Phinney (BMC Media Service)

Arredondo Climbs to Second San Luis Stage Win

January 25, Stage 6: Las Chacras - Mirador del Sol 184.4km Trek Factory Racing Team's newest Colombian addition, Julián Arredondo, claimed his second stage win in the Tour de San Luis ahead of Sergio Godoy and Nairo Quintana on the uphill finish atop the Mirador del Sol. Julián, new to the WorldTour, joined Trek this season as a specialty climber with high hopes for the upcoming Giro d'Italia. The training and performance team at Trek Factory Racing shared Arredondo's SRM race file as a continued contribution to data transparency and to show how a climber's race data can be unique to others. Julián races at 164cm with approximately 58kg on the SRM Shimano 9000 11-Speed PowerMeter.

Tour de San Luis: Stage 3

January 22, Stage 3: Tilisarao - Juana Koslay 175.8km Trek Factory Racing Team's young Italian professional, Giacomo Nizzolo, outkicked some of cycling's best in the Tour de San Luis stage 3 sprint finish. Giacomo, racing with Trek since 2011, was the overall winner at Tour of Wallonie in 2012, and last year earned multiple stage wins at the Tour of Luxembourg with podium finishes at GP Ouest France-Plouay and the Giro d'Italia. The training and performance team at Trek Factory Racing shared Nizzolo's SRM race file in an effort to illustrate the physical demands of elite stage racing under extremely harsh conditions with high winds and temperatures exceeding 40C (104F). Giacomo races at 184cm with approximately 72kg on the SRM Shimano 9000 11-Speed PowerMeter.
