Amy D. Foundation Auction

05. October 2016 - 6 years, 5 months and 27 days ago

The Amy D. Foundation is a nonprofit organization created in honor of Amy Alison Dombroski, whose love for cycling and life touched many people around the world. The Amy D. Foundation encourages and supports young women through cycling, inspiring the celebration of healthy challenge and empowering the confident pursuit of lofty dreams. Amy Alison Dombroski passed tragically at age 26 while training abroad in Belgium. She was a versatile cyclist with U23 National Championship titles in road, mountain, and cyclocross.  Still early in her career, she was considered by many in the sport to be a rising talent and serious contender at world-class cycling events. In her short but full life, Amy touched the hearts of communities in the United States and Europe.  Amy had a passion for life that transcended the sport of cycling; she loved to share this passion with the friends and family that surrounded her.  She also had an uncanny ability to transform challenges she faced in her own life into intense positive focus.  The tattoo of a lighting bolt that Amy bore on her wrist served as a remembrance of her mother’s tragic death, and provided her a daily source of motivation. SRM is honored to support the Amy D. Foundation and has donated an SRM Training System to their annual auction, which will take place from the 15th to the 22nd of November. Global Price Reduction

31. January 2016 - 7 years, 2 months and 2 days ago

We are excited to announce a substantial global price reduction effective immediately for all PowerMeter models including road, mountain bike, and track. The new MSRP pricing reflects an average 30% decrease from previous years.   As the creator of cycling’s first power meter, SRM applied 30-years of experience and ingenuity to reexamine design and manufacturing efficiencies. The German-born authority in power measurement was able to successfully redefine pricing, while preserving  a legacy of quality and hand-built craftsmanship. SRM PowerMeters start at $1399 [1428 € incl. 19 % VAT] for spiders using Specialized, Cannondale, SRAM and Rotor crank arms. SRM’s most popular PowerMeter, the Shimano 11-speed model is reduced from $2970 to $2199 [2380 € incl. 19% VAT] including crank arms and chain rings. The SRM SRAM compatible model, in GXP and BB30, is now available for $1599[2023 € incl. 19% VAT] including crank arms and chain rings.   “This pricing change has been months in the making,” expressed SRM Founder & CEO, Ulrich Schoberer. “We have listened to customer and retailer feedback, and after intensive analysis SRM is proud to be in a position to respond to those demands,” Schoberer adds.  Along with the price reduction, SRM is backing its PowerMeter and PowerControl models with a Limited Lifetime Warranty [valid for SRM USA]. “SRM is widely regarded as the pinnacle of accuracy and reliability for power measurement. Providing a lifetime warranty to our customers will offer peace of mind knowing their investment is protected,” remarks Schoberer. Our new Limited Lifetime Warranty can be viewed here. For more information, contact your local SRM retailer or visit store.srm.de for a complete overview of the new pricing and product information.
