The winner of this year’s Ötztaler Radmarathon will receive a prize donated by SRM. The road race has a 30 year history and is considered one of the hardest races in the German-speaking region. Last year 20,000 athletes applied to receive one of 4,000 available entries.
This year, SRM will not only donate the prize for first place in the Ötztaler Radmarathon, SRM will also have a booth at the Sattelfest (Saddle Fest), an exhibition that is all about the bike race. The Saddle Fest will take place August 23-24 in Sölden. Representatives from SRM Germany will be onsite to introduce product and answer questions. An SRM IndoorTrainer will be part of the display, and there will be a number of fun power-based games with prizes.
The race itself will take place on August 25. The course provides 5,508 meters of climbing over 227 kilometers. The last ascent to Timmelsjoch is 28.7 kilometers long with 1,759 meters of climbing.
The winner of the 33rd Ötztaler Radmarathon will be presented with a complete SRM Training System THM Clavicula M3, including a PowerMeter THM Clavicula M3 and a PowerControl 7, which displays and records training and race data.
