As in 2013, this year's awards for the fastest man and woman at the Ötztaler Radmarathon were presented by SRM: They each received an SRM Training System THM Clavicula compact. Roberto Cunico (Italy) won the men's race for the second time in a row and finished in 7:05.12.7. The fastest woman is Laila Orenos (Switzerland), who finished in 8:01.24.6. The 238 km course of the Ötztaler Radmarathon features 5,500 m (18,000') of climbing and is considered one of the hardest marathon races in the German speaking region. SRM Training Systems has partnered with the l’Etape du Tour as a Supporter Officiel. L’Etape du Tour was created over 20 years ago as an event to allow thousands of passionate amateur cyclists to experience the Tour de France. Over 13,000 participants from all over the world will gather in the Pyrenees to ride one stage of the most renowned bicycle race in history just four days before the Pro Peloton races through. As a Supporter Officiel, SRM will open a booth in the l’Etape du Tour Expo Village at Philippe Tissié stadium of Pau, Friday 18th and Saturday July 19th. The village is free and open to the public with more than 25,000 visitors expected. New SRM products will be featured with company representatives on-site to offer product demonstrations and provide information and updates on SRM power. There will also be six demo race bikes equipped with SRM available for public test rides.

These are a few of the questions that a gathering of world leading sports scientists, coaches and medical practitioners aim to address at the UCI-endorsed 2nd World Congress of Cycling Science at the Rose Bowl in Leeds from Wednesday 2nd to Thursday 3rd of July, just days before the city hosts the Grand Depart of the Tour de France (Saturday 5th July).
