Stage 7 of the Giro d'Italia was 177km from San Salvo to Pescara and included over 2,700 meters of climbing combined with rainy, technical descents. Movistart's Benat Intxausti, of Spain, managed to avoid multiple crashes and conquered the climbs to finish the stage in 14th earning the leaders jersey. Benat won the Vuelta a Asturias and finished 10th ovrall in the Vuelta a Espana in 2012. Below is the SRM file from Benat's race illustrating the incredible level of performance pro riders deliver day after day in a world tour.

What about Sky's Bradley Wiggins? Third (or was it fourth?) in paris nice this year, a good time trilsliat and if hes got the form he could possibly stick with the good riders on the harder climbs and not lose too much time then win in the final time trial. Not a dead cert for the win but a possibility.Otherwise I'm thinking martin after his performance at paris nice, Roman Kreuziger after LBL if on good form, and Cadel Evans IF he has the form
